Doubletree Chicago O'Hare Comments
Our Guests Love Us– But don't take our word for it!
TripAdvisor is the leading online travel review website, we have also included reviews from guests that have emailed us, as well as from Expedia and Travelocity. One of the best.
Whenever we visit Chicago we prefer to stay out at O'Hare due to price and ease of transportation. The Doubletree O'Hare is one of the best properties we in the area. The rooms are modern, oversized with top rated amenities. The recently remodeled lobby and restaurant add to the upscale luxury of this hotel. You get all the atmosphere of the downtown property without the high price tag.

Hotel Worthy Of A Honeymoon Night.
My wife and I stayed here on the last night of our honeymoon in December. It was a truly classy hotel at a great bargain rate. We had a large room with a king size bed and a nice sized desk and windows. The restaurant was staffed by a kind Moroccan waiter who provided hospitality and warmth to our dining experience. Unfortunately, he was not working when we returned in May. There is an excellent computer room available for free as well, and of course the cookies are free too!

Large rooms and awesome service.
I stayed here only for one night to be closer to the airport in the morning to avoid traffic. Upon check in I was impressed. It's a great looking hotel and very upscale looking for the value. That said, they charge $24.00 for valet parking, $20.00 if you don't use valet and they also charge $11.00 for a 24 hour internet connection (for each one.. and I had two computers to hook up.. ouch) which seemed a bit ridiculous considering I am only using it for a few hours. I felt nickle and dimed by the internet charges but if you're not a business traveler you may not care. The have many nice touches in the hotel. The fitness center has very nice equipment with fresh iced lemon water, fresh fruit and a lot of towels. The pool area looked great too and was well maintained. The fitness center is cool when entering but after a few minutes it's pretty hot. My only wish is that they had a fan to blow around the room for air circulation. I stayed on the 6th floor and my room was very spacious. The shower is fabulous (very large!! with LOTS of hot water) and has a separate tub, two sinks and granite counters. The room had enough space to feel like a nice mini suite. I had plenty of room to spread out and not feel cramped. I ordered room service for dinner and the service was fabulous. They called to make sure I was happy and the food arrived warm and quick and was better than I expected. The menu had a good selection as well. There are a few restaurants here on site I didn't try out, but my room was so comfortable I didn't want to leave. My only complaint is the airplane noise. The windows don't block as much as I had hoped, but that is to be expected at a busy airport like O'hare. I'd stay here again on my next trip for sure.

Incredible hospitality - they know what we need!
Stranded at Chicago O'Hare after business trip to downtown Chicago, so I stayed overnight for emergency. The hotel people know how to treat people who got stranded after a looooong flight and a tough day at the airport! Very kind, very considerate, and they are fast to check us in! This turned out to be a very pleasant stay after all. The food at the hotel restaurants are also incredible! Would love to come back, although I hope not to get stuck at the airport. Five star airport hotel!

A Great place to stay.
We stayed for a week on the end of our route 66 experience and could not ask for more . The bed was awesome, the room very clean , a bigger bathroom than our house. The staff could not be more helpful and the food of the highest quality. a great indoor pool and gym .

Impressed.
Very nice accomodation and well worth it in comparison to other hotels in the area. I highly recommend it.

Always a dependable place to stay...
Always a dependable place to stay that's a good value. Not my favorite location since I'd rather stay downtown, but if you need a place close to the airport or there for a convention, the Doubletree would be my recommendation. My other recommendation; if you want to have a couple of cocktails, go to Gibson's which is attached to the hotel. Drinks are cheaper there than the hotel bar and if you want dinner, make sure to make reservations.

Planning My Next Vacation Here.
I stayed at Doubletree for a business trip because I had a convention across the street at the convention center. I absolutely loved the room and how spacious and clean it was. My husband and I are now planning a vacation and I'm definitely booking at Doubletree in Chicago!

Pleasantly surprised by the Doubletree.
We were a little hesitant to select this hotel as we had had some bad experiences at the New Orleans one years ago. But the economic downturn and a low guest population led the staff at the OHare Doubletree to try harder. The sfaff on our arrival night was very helpful and attentive-they even gave us a free in-room fridge. The restaurant staff was great (we were the only ones in the restaurant when we arrived) and our food came out very promptly and was good and well presented. The breakfast buffet, however, needs improvement in selection and quality.

Love This Hotel.
This has to be one of the most beautiful and lovely Doubletree Hotel's I've stayed at. I love Chicago and loved the location of the hotel. Everything was great, the service, the rooms and the hotel itself. The only downside was the price for parking and the daily charge for internet use in the room.

Enjoyed the Doubletree.
Stayed for one night after a late check in and early check out to get a flight from O'Hare. The reception area is large and check in was a breeze. We did not use the shuttle from the airport and could not find anything about it on the hilton website but I believe they share it with the Embassy Suites across the street. I really like the large comfortable room. We had 3 ppl in the room without feeling cramped. The king bed was large with a comfy sofa bed. We ordered room service which arrived quickly. Hot and fresh. Delicious coffee. There was not a hint of smoke is any of the hallways or in our room so I'm sure the management took note of a previous reviewer and added a fresh lemon smell to the corridors.

Great close to airport option.
My wife and I arrived around midnight, tired, and ready to decompress. Everything was ready and everyone incredibly helpful. The front desk guy even ordered us a pizza and gave us warm, chocolate chip cookies. The barman helped us get some wine to go with the pizza until it was finally time to crash into the very comfortable bed. What a great welcome back into the USA from our travels. We highly recommend this hotel.

Doubletree O'Hare.
My stay at The Doublertree O'Hare was delightful. The front desk staff was very friendly, my room was nice and cool upon arrival. The front desk staff was helpful in things to do while in Chicago since it was my first time. I will visit the city again and will stay at The Doubletree O'Hare.......
